As someone who lives in South Carolina, there is one small benefit to this guy being such a nutcase, He’s distracting Lindsey and his PACs, we’ve gotten a couple fliers in the mail from Lindsey Graham affiliates calling out Mark Lynch’s crazy antics (most specifically his calls to legalize cocaine). Haven’t seen one ad attacking the leading Democrat, Annie Andrews. For those who don’t know, the original Hagia Sophia was one of the most impressive construction speed-run of all time. Completed in just under 6 years with
4th6th century tech. They botched it a bit so the roof fell but still very impressive.Edit: 6th century tech, first church was made in 4th century, current structure with the speed run was started in 532 and finished in 537.
What’s impressive is that it’s survived centuries of earthquakes without seriously falling apart
Yeah, they would have had a clean run if they had made the dome more curved. It was a bit flat and an earthquake took the dome down and destroyed the altar. Still very impressive and definitely been well maintained.
