I’d say that’s true. It’s easier to get strength back than it was to get it in the first place. Anecdotally I went to the gym regularly for a long time. It took weeks to add weight increases. I quit because covid, work, etc. Started going again years later and it was far more rapid weight advancement, however it was harder to hit the higher weights I’d done previously. Just getting older, I guess.

Re-do the study and check it against people’s disposable income levels. I’d be willing to bet the “birth bracket” moved to a higher income level thanks to inflation, housing, and food costs among others. Not the smart phone’s fault, it’s an economic problem. The study looked at poverty rates, but government defined poverty rates aren’t the same as the economic hopelessness felt by many even in the middle class.
The rich kid solution. Just SMH when I play against some super-low level player with all the skins and kit that normally take months to acquire - if they can even be earned in the first place, some items are cash only. Usually huge tryhards too with other “skill assists”.
They don’t need this to do that if things go that direction. They can make up whatever they want.

I am always surprised at how few people know of these and other events that changed the lives of the working class. People fought and died for the rights we have today, and wealth is trying to take away or render ineffective as many of those as they can.
History isn’t an arc bent any direction except towards shortsighted greed. It’s human nature. That’s why we face things like the climate crisis or bubbles in financial markets, and it’s a perpetual battle that has no end to try to push that arc the other way.
For the vast majority of people a car is just transportation. You go from A to B. Some might couple that with making it a bourgeoise status symbol, the expensive truck mallcruiser or BMW.

And you’re right. So many cars now completely insulate the driver from the road and the operation of the vehicle, like driving a couch with the TV remote.
That’s the world they created. They always took the shortest path to profits, and that path was the one that exploited people the most by giving corporations all the power in the name of making the line go up.
Target doesn’t allow any of that in the stores, so no they can’t do that anymore than someone could light up a cigarette.
That said, millennials didn’t just disappear when pot became legal. They can vape, smoke, dab, or whatever the heck they want right alongside everyone else.
The important thing is that pre-Z gens can appreciate the improvements, whereas Z and after just take it for granted.
We don’t generally forgive convicts and let them have a new life, that’s why recidivism is so bad. Society is also quietly prejudiced against people with mental health issues, which is why it’s so hard to get treated or get time off for it. “Finding Jesus” is loaded in so many different ways I can’t cover that here.
That said, I’m totally for understanding people can change and am very much against ghost banning people with a history that they have grown out of. People do change, everyone has things they’ve fucked up in the past.
