I attended a gun show once, and went with a friend who had worked in a gun store for years and was much more familiar than me, to prevent me from making a fool of myself.
There was a table advocating for “Constitutional Carry,” that is, arguing that there should be no licensing required for concealed carry. There were two guys manning the table, one maybe in his thirties, and the other a guy in his fifties or sixties with a long grey beard.
I’d have just walked by, but my friend marched right up and said “Hey, just so you know, I hope you guys fail.”
The younger guy kind of tenses up and bristles a little and the older guy says “Oh? Why is that?”
And my friend says “I worked in a gun store for over ten years, and I turned in more concealed carry permit applications than I can remember, and…” and at this point she gestures around to the room behind us, “… I wouldn’t trust 95% of the people in this room with a gun.”
And the older guy kind of smiles and nods and says “Yeah, okay, that’s fair.”
Burglars might score a single-shot shotgun or two from me, like the one over the door, if they notice it. Now let’s see them figure out how to use one!
Only if every soldier knows how to operate and maintain any kid of gun they can possibly come across, and only if they can magically build supply lines to move the right ammo to the right places without knowing where it all is ahead of time, and only if nobody booby traps anything. There’s a reason soldiers don’t procure on site unless they have to.
Gun owners houses are a nice shopping centre for gun and ammo thieves I suppose.
Yeah “this house defended by Smith & Wesson” and such macho posturing shit basically a “FREE GUNS” sign for thieves
No one sane puts those idiot signs up. Over in /r/liberalgunowners the mantra was, "Keep that cutsie shit on your rifle case, not public.)
America would be a different place if there was an IQ requirement for gun ownership.

I have seen some of those stickers or signs on some cars and I’ll tell you, it was very tempting to get me a new pistol.
I can’t speak for all, but I have a safe that is bolted to the floor. If they get in there, they did more work than robbing the gun store.

Yep. It means that if anyone does try to conquer the United States they won’t have to worry as much about logistics.

Ha. You think it just isn’t perpetual chaos here???
You’re ignorant, shut up. It’s either on me or unloaded in the safe. The ammo is in another safe in another room.
