• It’s real but it’s as stupid as it can get.

If tomorrow I meet a famous hollywood actor and they give me an Oscar statuette because I ask them for it, I still didn’t win an Oscar. I just have a statuette of it, but I didn’t win it.

Same happens here, just because he has the medal doesn’t mean he has won a nobel prize

I don’t see any information that the medal is engraved with the name of the recipient.

I am interested in ceremonies and logistics, can you tell me your source on this please?

        • It’s worse. Here’s a better pic of the prize you see in the photo.

if you zoom it, you can see just below the medal itself “The 2025 Nobel Peace Prize medal awarded to Maria Corina Machado”

          It’s utterly ridiculous.

Ok, so the letter has her name, not the medal itself?

            So I was right?

It specifically says the name is engraved on the edge of the medal in the comment you are replying to, why are you so sure it’s not?

You are indeed correct, I got several messages at the same time when I got this and only skimmed it at the time so I missed it.

I was also annoyed at the other replies talking about the name being on a plaque next to the medal when I asked for the medal itself.

So confusion and a slight annoyance contributed to the misunderstanding.

                Sorry about that.
