Star…ring Alan Tudyk and Jewel Staire, Firefly… is the best franchise in the history of (video) Sci-Fi… because it’s a space Western with sass.

(But really, Frank Herbert’s Dune is the best franchise in Sci-Fi.)

I thought it wasn’t a franchise per se. But I completely agree, although I really admire Marc Remillard too.

What are your thoughts on the Ori story? I felt like the Goa’uld was peak star gate and didn’t care much for seasons after that. Episodically it’s fine, but the overall story wasn’t as gripping.

I am interested in checking out FarScape though since it’s those same characters

To quote an old comment of mine:

Is that the one with the gates deep in space? Deep gate 9 or something?

They found a way to connect to faraway regions of space and shortcut the journey, and decided a facility was necessary to protect against hostile intrusions and be a hub. Also something about returning control to the natives. Religion / religious zealots bad.

It’s ‘O’Neill’, with two L’s. There’s another Colonel O’Neil with only one L, and he has no sense of humor at all.

That’s a quote from the TV show, it’s referencing that in the original movie O’Neil is written with one L and he’s a serious character, but on the TV show he’s named O’Neill with 2 Ls and makes jokes regularly.

Fair-ish, can’t find the big guy being asked trek or wars and going gate meme. I like 'em all, but I’m not out to make people mad (troll). Like the agency in gate, the competence and evolved ethics from trek and the swashbuckling from wars.

Many know, many care. However, I found this. mYLo4fW93B6VCCS.gif while looking for the big guy, which I may use inappropriately for a while, thanks.

I loved Spike in both Buffy and Angel. What a delight.

Like this scene where he blacked out all his windows in his car windows so he can drive it the day time.
