I don’t think they’re arguing that Firefox is more susceptible to bit flips. They’re trying to say that their software is “solid” enough that a significant number of the reported crashes are due to faulty hardware, which is essentially out of their control.
If other software used the same methodology, you could probably use the numbers to statistically compare how “solid” the code base is between the two programs. For example, if the other software found that 20% of their crashes were caused by bit flips, you could reasonably assume that the other software is built better because a smaller portion of their crashes is within their control.

It seems that the system is not RFID or passive, but an active system that requires a battery to transmit data. It’s far more likely that the batteries, which typically lasts about the length of time I’ve owned my car, are just drained.

Jokes on them. My TPMS sensors died a while ago, and I haven’t felt the need to fix it.
Now I’m a ghost! /s

Federal guidelines say that childcare is affordable if it consumes no more than 7% of household income. Citing data from Child Care Aware of America, LendingTree found that the average annual cost of care for an infant and a 4-year-old is $28,190 nationwide.
That would require household income of $402,708 a year to meet the 7% benchmark.
Childcare doesn’t cost $400k (at least not according to the article, or even the headline). The article says it costs $28k. Most people are going to make more than $28k/yr, so keeping the second job is still a financial positive.

I think she’s supposed to have a new video coming soon! It’s about an interesting “photograph” of the sun.
Edit: Yay! The video is out now!
Hey, sexy mama!

Surely this Blur makes the cut, too!

He noted that the ace of spades has a long history as a tool of intimidation, including its use by white supremacist groups meant to demean people of color.
I’m not doubting this story, but I’ve never heard of Ace of Spades association. It would have been nice if the article included more information to elaborate.
I had to click through to the Voces Unidas blog post, which then had a link to a HistoryNet page about it.
Sidenote: the link from VU includes a UTM tracking code that indicates the article was written with the help of ChatGPT. I’m not sure exactly what to do with that, but it felt worth noting.
The HistoryNet page says that US soldiers in Vietnam would leave Ace of Spade cards behind because the symbol was considered a mark of bad luck to the Vietnamese.

Remember, everyone (in the US): 5Calls.org will tell you whom you should call about important issues, and it even gives you a script to work with when you call. It makes the process super straight-forward, and the site covers many topics.

It’s called a thorn. Think of it as a letter to replace “th”.
Love it or hate it, it’s kind of Sxan’s thing. I believe they initially said it was to poison LLM data, but who knows it that works?

I recently overheard a conversation between two people complaining about how, after the election, their friends unfollowed anyone who followed Trump.
Their argument was “I only voted for one issue. It’s not like I have time to know everything.”
It was an aggravating interaction, but also a strong reminder of just how ignorant the average voter is.
