I think the show you were looking for is called Sliders.
That show looks like it could be either fun or absolutely horrible. Has anyone seen it?
Later seasons suffered from cast changes and overcomplications to the storyline, but my childhood memory is that the first season at least was very good.
I think the first 2 seasons were consistently solid, but then everything after went off the rails.
It’s a very 90’s show as well, and not in a “mostly timeless” buffy sort of way.
This is where it would have been great if modern YouTube was around at the time, they could have easily done a web series for this show. Do like badly reworked versions of the main shows stories.
