Just wanna say I own a set of medium silicone-tip Tongs which are useful in general but they would be my go-to in this situation.

Real LPT in the comments. You can also get “opposite-handed” scissors to work by faking them out. Reach with the hand they want you to use, and use that hand to put them into the hand you want to use. Works every time.

Of all the kitchy 60s cuisine, this might be the least offensive to me. If you’re gonna mke a “cake” out of a sandwich though, you need something on the outside.
