I actually wasn’t aware at the time that there were actually third party clients for Reddit, but I am somewhat tech-savvy so I immediately recognized the effect that the change will have had. Also my favorite community was r/ProgrammerHumour (as it is now), and I left when they announced it will go private due to protestation for the API changes.
