Nepal is a secular country. It was a hindu nation, and still is hindu majority. But most new generation are secular-hindu, as in hindu culture but not religious. Similar to how someone might celebrate Christmas but not do religious things associated with it

I’m not debating the origin. If you’re buying a bunch of gifts, wrapping it in, putting them under a tree, you’re technically celebrating Christmas.
If you have some other celebrations or gatherings on the same day, then yeah it’s not Christmas
