I never had any bad experience with the cops there. I went to protests. The big ones and one at a Tesla store. Cops were nice. Pleasant even.

Where I’m from in rural Illinois, cops here primarily ride around or park looking for people to give driving tickets too or to harass.

The more rural, the smaller the area, the worse the cops are- in my experience.

Ive had some really unpleasant encounters with rural cops.

Insisting on searching my vehicle. Threatening me.

Mind you , I’m a white woman. So you can only imagine how they treat anyone else.
