Thanks for the heads-up, FFRF! Sent to my US Representative and both Senators

Please do not attend the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

This event:

  • Has a history of infiltration from Russian agents
  • Pushes an overtly anti-LGBTQ+ and anti-labor sentiment
  • Champions an extremist version of Christianity
  • Has troubling relationships with foreign dictatorships
  • And pretends to be a bipartisan event, when it’s truthfully a Christian nationalist propaganda fest.

I am urging you not to attend or support this event, or any event in the first week of February that endorses an overtly theocratic worldview. Thank you.

They all go because it’s performative bullshit. I can only imagine the response if I sent this to my “representatives”: oh no I can’t, because they wouldn’t even bother responding.

Still worth it to take the 30 seconds to click thru & use the form letter

I always like telling politicians who want my vote that I consider “faith” – belief without evidence – to be immoral. They used to take umbrage. Now in the post-truth age of Trump… some of the more progressive ones seem to start to get it.
