United States Olympic women’s hockey team captain Hilary Knight called Trump’s invitation to the White House “a distasteful joke” on Wednesday during an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter.
The invite came after Trump extended a welcome to the men’s team via a phone call on Sunday, as celebration ensued in the locker room following their 2-1 gold medal overtime win against Canada.
“I must tell you, we’re gonna have to bring the women’s team — you do know that,” Trump said over a speakerphone held by FBI Director Kash Patel, who was videoed celebrating with the team.
Trump’s entire life is a distasteful joke but yet here we are.
Including men’s hockey team.
Yeah. They could have showed solidarity with the women’s team after what Trump said but they showed while they might be good athletes they have no character.
It’s just a microcosm of the US as a whole and why Trump is in power to begin with.
A large part of the US is essentially the US hockey team. Following along and validating the bullshit.
I can not argue with that.
Too many enjoy the (temporary) safety that Trump provides them to stand up for others. Too many still are afraid to stand up for the rights of others for fear that their rights might be taken away in response. Too many others are beaten down and exhausted from the system that keeps them oppressed to be able to stand up for what’s right. Too many have either never read or truly understood Martin Niemöller’s “First They Came”.
Meanwhile, the women’s team partied in Las Vegas and ate with noted amateur chef Stanley Tucci, while the simps on the men’s team ate cold fast food while praising Dear Leader.
They FA’d, they FO’d.

Not at all surprising that Trump called an actual boys club, and then promptly shit on women. He’s garbage; an irredeemable piece of shit. I hope he pays one day.
