It would be a big accomplishment to smoke even one pack of cigarettes and not get addicted to it!

That said, I don’t understand how or why someone would even do that, cigarettes taste gross when you’re starting out and the effect isn’t particularly interesting, either (I had like 5 cigarettes in my life, and I did a lot of passive smoking as a kid).

First cigarette feels pretty great. Second does too. Third, not so much.

      Aaand you’re addicted.

Haven’t had a cigarette in nearly 10 years. Was roughly a pack a day smoker for nearly 10 years.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you “just smoke when you drink,” and you drink every day… Yeah.

Are you sure that was tobacco in your cigarettes … ?

Weird, I had the opposite experience. It tasted bad, made me cough and I can’t say that I ever felt any effect from the nicotine.

Lightheadedness, nausea, and vomiting are common side effects of nicotine withdrawal, which is a low bar for the nicotine naive.

I recall, when I was at the School of Infantry after boot camp, one of our instructors told a kid he could get off firewatch if he survived the entire class with a dip in his lip. Kid said ezpz, give it to me. Instructor doles him out some cope long, kid puts it in, and the instructor immediately rolls the garbage can right up under his chin and says you’re gonna need this. And like five minutes later he did.

I’ve never liked the nicotine “high,” so I’m fortunate.

It definitely is, dunno why I threw withdrawal out. Maybe overdose is what I was looking for, but it was time to get the kids to school. Haste makes waste, as my mom used to say.

Lol i ve been smoking here and there (much more than the number 5 you mentionned) and somehow never got addicted (like i am not buying cigarettes, and ot asking for them etc). Last time i smoke one was 6 month ago

I think it has to do with genetics?
