The president isn’t a bad speaker though, even with all of his nonsense, he convinces his people he is fighting for them. He is dumb and arrogant but comes across as real. Democrat politicians come across as fake. Or Bernie is good, but too old and not aggressive enough.

But we need someone that can work a crowd, and that has a killer instinct. To actually attack some of the people cheating us, and promise to take them down, dig into other things they’ve done wrong, lead the party to follow through on those things. Make these pharma and healthcare executive fear cheating the citizens of this country.

Then someone that can build and run a political machine from that. We need strong leadership, in fact we are getting it, either from the republicans or from us.

I firmly disagree with this. You’re not the first to say it, but I’ve heard many other genuine people that didn’t sound like they were late-stage Alzheimer’s patients or stuffed up with latest talking points.

The claim “Trump is an excellent speaker” is a tool used to forgive a decade of hatred embodied in literal hundreds of thousands of people. It lets them claim they were “tricked”, and not that they looked past an outwardly obviously idiotic billionaire sociopath to the inspiring fact that he was really, really, really hateful and racist.

He can play a crowd, and if your candidate can’t play a crowd, they will lose to the guy that can. Either you direct their anger at the plutocratic rot now visible on the surface, or the Republicans will misdirect it, those are your only options.

No candidate I respect can “play” the theme of hunting down non-white people. That’s what they pulled to, not general hatred.

Theres been plenty of hatred of billionaires and oligarchs long before Trump began his campaign, and they refute it. They praise big businessmen, because businessmen are sometimes racist.

Who said anything about respecting? He’s a piece of fucking shit. We are talking about skill at public speaking. And rambling, incoherence, mean dumb bigoted traitorous and all, he looks like he’s fighting for his people, and that’s why people that don’t know better like him.
