Congressional Democratic leaders are asking ICE to agree to reforms, promising to vote for $11 billion in funding for the agency if it does so. ICE has every reason to concede to the demands — then ignore them once the funding bill passes.

      Hakeem Jeffries is up for reelection this November. Currently, he has only one June 23 primary challenger, Vance Bostic. This honestly looks like Jeffries will win in a landslide.

      Schumer will continue to mutter his goddam inanities for years, as he isn’t up for reelection until November 2028.

        There’s certainly a few people that would hope a bullet helps expedite that election if they vote to hand over ICE funding just like the previous shutdown.
