Gliders/sailplanes should be reasonably accessible.

I remember that a lot of supermarkets did that during the pandemic.

Maybe someone like should check if this is true. Anatoli Bugorski I am looking at you.
Is Gen Z even allowed to drink yet?

Every once in a while he blackmails the Tesla board into giving him a shit ton of money. Besides that he doesn’t have much, his wealth is in stocks, mostly Tesla, because his other companies aren’t publicly traded. What rich people do to actually get money is they get a loan backed by their stocks, and then never really paying it back. Tesla is extremely overvalued, but because of that he can just borrow as much money as he wants.

Japan is one of the exceptions though, they get a lot of earthquakes.
Please properly compost me.
Shouldn’t have mentioned him, you know that’s why they killed him, you caused this.
When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons, what the hell am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

I just realised we had a very similar style of tea cups in my home in the '90s, early '00s, my parents probably still have them.

There are people living outside the USA?

I think ESA had an idea about deorbiting space debris using lasers.

Yeah, you lose reliability. If you put the antenna in a pit it will be limited in its beamforming capability. This restricts the number of visible satellites, leading to situations where no satellites are visible.

Very hard to do. You need to be able to launch to the same orbits as the satellites and Starlink uses thousands of satellites, almost all of which will at some point fly over those countries. So they’d need to shoot them all down.

Job postings don’t necessarily mean that they’re actually hiring. Sometimes job postings are used to appear healthy in public.
No, not the best time, just the last time in humans where actually in charge before everything started to be controlled by machines.
Can you ever really know anyone?
For virgin cocktails you don’t use fruit flavoured alcohol.
For social media an important point is inertia/network effects combined with marketing. And I think a lot of open source/decentralised advocates are not good at marketing, while at the same time network effects can’t kick in due to lack of content. Because ultimately most people don’t care about it being open source or decentralised, most people care about content. If your favourite youtuber is not on peertube, then why use peertube. If your favourite celebrity is not on mastodon/pixelfed/loops then why use those. If there is no community for your favourite sportsball team on lemmy/piefed why join those platforms?
