Third party voting can be strategic and no more a waste than voting blue in a deep red state.

I saw someone post below that they’re saying the guy was armed.
Now, it’s hard to tell what’s going on exactly in this video, but it looks like the guy in the grey jacket pulls a weapon from the victim’s waistband before a shot is fired. The man in grey then runs out of frame with what appears to be a gun in his hand.
If that was the victim’s weapon, then it was taken before he was shot and didn’t look like he was reaching for it in the first place.
This might be baseless from me. I just was watching the video over and over to try to get a sense of what happened.

The real depressing news is in the linked article, where a survey showed only 53% of respondents thought the shooting was unjustified (35% thought it was justified, rest gave no opinion). I don’t understand how you see that video and come away with any other conclusion unless you’re just being actively partisan.
.ml is my preferred instance too because you get the latest updates first, you get access to all the same mainstream PieFed and Lemmy communities, and you get to choose whether to interact with communist communities like Lemmygrad or Hexbear.
I wouldn’t recommend it to most people though cause most people can’t handle communists. Most would prefer conservatives, even.
And the downside is that certain people will block you or judge you for your instance, even if you were here years before the other instances came to be.
