Ya, basically game theory based survival strategy colored by culture and emotion. IMO, morality almost always comes either dictated by in-group superiors (religion, cults, legalism, etc) or via game theory (atheists, agnostics, non-religious, etc).

We all have empathy and sympathy for our in-group. When it comes to basic respect, many of us have large in-groups that include the less fortunate, animals, etc, other’s have a small in-group with themselves and their family, or their race, or their class. For the worst people, the in-group is themselves and maybe their children who can carry their legacy.

Whiteness has directly been used as an oppressive force on a global scale for as long as been an identifiable thing. You can’t say the same about any other color or race.

As long as people in large numbers are actively unifying behind the flag of whiteness and using it to dominate others, I think it’s acceptable to prejudge members of that group.

This is why decent white people should be doing everything they can’t to stop this use of whiteness.

I’m trans, if a large percentage of trans people were unifying behind and using transness to consolidate power to dominate and exploit cis people (in a make believe world where there’s enough trans people to do this), I’d expect cis people to have an inherent distrust of trans people.
