Ive been a dev for 20 ish years now. Im tired of doing unending infa buildouts. Ive been running yuno for about two years. Its just generic debian with lots of easy to use features. Backups work, user login works, and most apps are just scripts with big install buttons.

Using bare metal is good for performance. Bad for reproducability. Docker introduces another layer you have to work with and yet another dependency.

I use docker all the time at work. And yuno at home. They both have thier place.

Its not wrong.

Kinda a long video, but the gist of it is:

1. Its out of the box experience is really good in that in comes with games.
2. Really bad at setup, subscriptions
3. Lots of Fruit Ninja and Bluey.

Clicked around…looks like every corpo site out there. Im not sure what this gives other than yet another place to talk about very general subjects.

I just dont see the appeal to be honest. At least with the fedi, we can chose what our joinable communities look like. This just looks like yet another “app”. With a never ending feed…
