They need to invest in some KVM switches. Just leave the monitors connected directly to the towers but route the input devices through the switch. There’s no good reason for a single person to face more than one keyboard and mouse at the same desk.
The house elves are the single most fucked up parts of the books for a number of reasons. And Winky is a particularly unfortunate example.
But devil’s advocate, Winky didn’t become an alcoholic because she as no longer a slave, per se, and definitely not because she was lazy or whatever stereotype slavers would suggest of black people. She became an alcoholic because she was extremely depressed. A) She grew up indoctrinated into this service role and felt like she had failed her mother’s memory by being removed from serving the family like she had. B) She was separated from her surrogate child that she’d single-handedly cared for for over a decade (who turned out to be a murderer and a wizard nazi, but she didn’t know that) and couldn’t even tell anyone about it. Not saying the situation isn’t fucked and more than a little gross. But I don’t see the alcohol use a problematic aspect with any deeper racial meaning here. It isn’t a character failing to fall into depression in this situation, given the character’s background.
Also, for what it is worth, after the initial shock of finding out what Barty Couch Jr had done and that he’d been kissed by the dementors, she did eventually accept things and come out of her depression. And she was among the elve’s that fought in the Battle Of Hogwarts, making her a hero as well. It’s a mixed bag, man.
Sickled himself in his confusion

So subtle from the title

It’s produced results. These are the results. Congratulations.

Those few US companies paid MAGA for this.
Almost certainly not just a money thing. They very likely also made deals for government access to and control of their devices. This isn’t just corruption. It is fascism.

designating all consumer routers manufactured outside the U.S. as a security risk
So this is horseshit, right?
First of all, ALL routers from ANY country are a security risk? Every single other nation is trying to make Spyware for the average American consumer? Doubt.
Second, they are extremely concerned with all consumers’ security from foreign actors to the point it needs an outright ban on hardware to protect us. God forbid I buy an AVM router from Germany and open up my home networking to German Spies. What if they find out I sometimes visit porn websites and yourube!?
Third, that the US government, themselves, are trustworthy and wont force backdoors into systems to allow them unfettered access into private networks, something that they HAVE TRIED TO AND SUCCEEDED TO DO IN THE PAST. And also something that they are very clearly opening the door for with all of these legal pushes toward requiring age verification software and OS’s. They want to ban foreign routers so that you have to buy routers from companies that they can control. They can ask, coerce and force them to give them access behind the scenes for some bullshit excuse (“protect the kiddies”, “law enforcement”, “national security”, “terrorism”), force them to not tell the public, and then “secretly” monitor every device in the entire country. They are almost certainly already doing this with a significant number of US manufacturers and software developers.
Fuck these fascists.

Super irresponsible of them. Their butt babies are going to be deformed.

Ah, that makes more sense

If you’re churning anything while running, that’s energy being diverted to churning.
Yes and no. If you’re putting the same amount of energy in to move more mass, yes, some of that energy is diverted away from some aspect(s) of your mechanical motion into the cream. However, you can also just put in marginally more energy to compensate. A quart of cream weighs ~1lb. If you’re a 120 lb runner, you’ve increased your weight by 0.8%, so you only need to increase your energy output by that same margin. That’s not a big ask. And it gets smaller the heavier you are.
but it uses different muscles.
I mean… not really? Presumably, you’re carrying this cream close to your body somewhere on your waist or torso, like in a pocket, pouch, tucked into a sports bra, or something similar. That means it’s going to be relatively close to your center of gravity. And, again, we’re talking ~1lb here for a quart. So it’s not going to move your center of gravity significantly between its mass relative to yours, as well as it’s proximity to your center of gravity. 1 lb is not significant. You can gain a pound eating pasta right before your run. And runners typically lose 1-4 lbs of water per hour on a run from sweat and respiration anyway.
but if your goal is to improve running technique, pace and speed, there are better ways to do it.>
I think the goal is the novelty of making butter without really trying to, or simply multi-tasking.

Sort of. Could be 65 v 25, unfavorable v favorable, with 10 percent neither. The difference just tells you the spread, not necessarily the absolute (except +/-100 percent)

If they’re ignoring the law then we can ignore the law against defacement and destruction of US currency, right? Melt them down? Carve Hitler staches or penises in his fists?

“Here comes the disaster… chief.”

Rick Grimes would make a damn fine head of FEMA. Bro got shit done.

“Angel”
Pfft. Yeah right.

The other reason is that they know that the centrist/conservative idea of a Starbucks costumer is a woke person who likes fancy drinks and not just black coffee. It’s all about creating a strawman for their base to hate.
Sure but that seems like a stupid strategy too. The people complaining are more likely to be people living on lower incomes which are A) more likely to be conservative themselves, and B) less likely to be driving to pick up Starbucks or other luxuries and frivolous things on the regular. So she is simultaneously downplaying the problem that people are actually experiencing, blaming a thing that is not something that they are even doing, and associating them with the people they hate in the process.
I may be giving them too much credit, but if I were a broke conservative struggling with affording travel between home, work, school drop off/pick up, and the grocery store, and you said something like that to my face, I’d have some very audible words for you. Maybe some spit too.

Could you fucking imagine the uproar if a democrat did this. If Harris had won and put her face on US currency? They wouldn’t be able to fucking cope. They’d be collecting and melting the coins down. Such blatant sycophants, hypocrites and fascists. Fuck me.

Still illegal no matter what the arts commission yes men say.
Redundancy for a keyboard and mouse? Keep an extra set in the drawer or something. No need to have them all out and connected. Simplicity? How is it simpler to have multiple input devices littered about than one set? You can’t really physically use multiple at once. Speed? Speed of what? Of input? The latency on a KVM is negligible, particularly for an IO device? Speed of swapping? With multiple keyboards and mice, you have up manually move around devices and/or your body. With a KVM, you press a button. How is that slower?
Physical context switching is the only thing I’ll grant you, but I don’t see how that’s such a benefit compared to the hassle, clutter, and hectic work flow when you can just use a KVM.
