TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name@lemmy.world•One of my favourite episodesEnglish
5·8 days agoYou should give it a watch sometime, it’s one of the greatest episodes of the show and full of hilarious dialogue.
Professor Farnsworth, condescendingly: OooHhhhhh, a lesson in not changing history from Mr. “Im my own grandpa.”

1·9 days agoI have ADHD and the closest way I’ve been able to describe it is this. human brains exist on a scale of 1-150, with 100 being optimal. “neurotypicals” are at roughly 80 and stims take them up to 100. ADHD brains are driven past the point of effectiveness so they sit at like 120 but the stimulants take them down to 100.
Ohhh okay I thought it was some tacky lookin wallpaper.

TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name@lemmy.world•Janeway did nothing wrong!English
6·10 days agoShe could try using the Zapp Brannigan strategy against the borg! Who knows, maybe they’d get bored and leave.
Brannigan: “You see, killbots have a preset kill limit. Knowing their weakness, I sent wave after wave of my own men at them until they reached their limit and shut down. Kif, show them the medal I won.”

She had the chance to kill an unlimited number of Tuvixes and she didn’t take it, so how bad is she really?
Yeah I was gonna say, swap out that carpeting with something a little less sensory-overload, maybe change the wallpaper, but I’m down. The colors are fine. Like you said, earthy.

11·24 days agoIt’s definitely because of Louis. He’s been doing a lot of work in the right to repair field, as well as this whole fuckin fiasco that Bambu (the 3d printer company) got themselves into by violating the LGPL license with some software. Streisand’d themselves good on that one.
was gonna say the same thing. needs a few boxes under the tv.

This is off topic, but toms hardware is one of a growing list of pages using “ad recovery” services that intentionally break their own page and then blame DNS-level filters for the problem. It’s disingenuous at best and I really don’t think a site willing to employ a such deceptive tactic should be allowed to get page views.
