Edit: It’s a Lemmy thing.

I believe that AVIF is the preferred format on iOS devices? It’s the still image version of AV1 (AV1 Image File Format) and it tends to have better quality per size than JPEG.

Find someone who looks at you the way Kurn looks at Picard.

Lol I love his line just before it where he’s like “how old is this? It looks like it has been lying in the sun for some time”

Not a full remastere, it got a “RTX” upgrade? They added ray tracing and stuff but they kept the same assets otherwise (no new models, textures, etc).
I’m guessing it’s a white gravy instead of a brown gravy, so colored from cream and flour. I’ve only ever had brown gravy and lingonberries with my swedish meatballs, but then I’ve also only ever had them at Ikea which I’m sure isn’t the best representation.

Oh okay, neat. I wonder if they took some inspiration from the original Trill design when deciding where to put the face ridges.

People focus on the “intelligence” part but ignore artificial, and I think that makes a big difference. The name is pretty apt honestly. It appears to be intelligent. It outwardly simulates intelligence. But it’s all man made to present that illusion - like an artificial reef.
Artificial: made, produced, or done by humans especially to seem like something natural.

What species is she here? I thought only Trill could carry the symbiote long term. Or was that just another lie by the Trill Symbiosis Commission?

Unfortunately you’re only allowed to do that if you’re arguing that your (insert X vehicle here) should definitely have been able to take on (insert Y vehicle here) because of something in said classified documents.

After being treated for congestive heart failure, no less. I’m sure her doctor probably told her to stay away from fast food and stressful situation!
I’d rather watch “Ow, my balls!”

I can’t speak for everyone but if there was no capitalism and I needed for nothing I would seriously just go door to door asking folks if they had any computer/tech problems I could take a look at for them. Can you imagine how absolutely insane O’Brien would go if he had no problems to fix?
That ending was damn near wholesome. Also I think my favorite part of the whole thing was “the pizza is not negotiable.”

Instead of money, people look to accomplishments for social status and distraction.
That’s basically canon, established in the uhh season 1 finale I think it was? They unfreeze some people from the 21st century and the one rich guy is questioning what the point of it all is if money isn’t around anymore.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: This is the 24th century. Material needs no longer exist.
Ralph Offenhouse: Then what’s the challenge?
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: The challenge, Mr. Offenhouse, is to improve yourself. To enrich yourself. Enjoy it.

I’m guessing they also rely on various in-system defenses such as Luna and Mars as well. Utopia Planetia surely has some ships that could be deployed to Earth in hours or maybe even minutes if needed. What kind of crew complement they’d have available is a different story.

Keep in mind also that we only see little snippets of time portrayed in the show. Even individual episodes can have gaps of days or weeks between scenes! The show wouldn’t be very exciting if every other episode was just them lazily cruising to their next mission and filling out crew reports or whatever.
Edit: Yeah, I could see planetary life being pretty unfulfilling. Like… what are you gonna figure out that hasn’t already been figured out? Gotta go out into the great unknown to solve a new mystery.

Deep Space 9 showed that runabouts could be operated almost entirely by voice control (Odo was able to pilot one without much difficulty). I’d imagine shuttles would be just as easy or easier to pilot given their more limited equipment loadout.
I was just looking around at the code for Lemmy and Voyager and I agree it’s 100% a web frontend thing. Take this with a grain of salt because I’m not a programmer, just a long time tech guy, but it looks like Lemmy uses
pict-rsas it’s media backend andpict-rshas a configuration to transcode images into.avifto save space as of version 0.5.https://git.asonix.dog/asonix/pict-rs/src/commit/f5b8e4416734ef7ced86dba05808cb155fe243fb/releases/0.5.0.md#quality-configuration
Edit: I’ve just noticed that my picture uploaded as a
