  • “Don’t like?” “Have a grudge against?”

You’re describing the feeling that I might have against someone who double parked their car or a coworker that ate my sandwich

That’s not what a billionaire is. A billionaire is a fatal threat to the world who holds enough power to starve entire countries, our own country included. It’s not about grudges, it’s about lives

We aren’t talking about overblown and violent reactions. We are talking about resistance against something that already is overblown and violent

  • Whether you believe in God or not, I think it’s a mistake to worship them or proclaim them a perfect being

Imagine that we’re ants, and God is a 10 year old kid at a playground. Sure a kid might be overall good and try to genuinely help us ants, but a pair of giant hands can only cause destruction even when they try to help

We can recognize that a god is more wise and more intelligent, while also recognizing that their judgement is fundamentally flawed and not always the best for us

If religious people want a reason for why bad things happen and God does not intervene, then maybe God coming to a conclusion similar to mine above could be their reason why

    1. A normal experience that you “got over” and refuse to allow yourself (and by extension others) to say is or was “that bad,” may even lead to believing that it’s “your turn” to inflict it on anyone who arbitrarily deserves it
    2. A horrific experience that you never want another child to ever go through

Luckily, I grew up with parents who saw it the #2 way and raised me with love
