It’s incredible how many people think socialism = communism. U can have capitalism and socialism together, and just not let the capitalism run unchecked the way it has in the USA for the last 50 ish years which is what fucks us. Strong socialism with a sprinkle of capitalism is imo the perfect solution, but unfortunately I think most hear socialism and think their old soviet’s trying to make a comeback. A lot of people fail to realize how socialist the USA used to be and how far we have gotten away from it as money moved into politics. I haven’t driven in too many cities, but Boston takes the cake as absolute worse place have had the misfortune of operating a motor vehicle. I would love a tick box setup. Maybe 2 Linux distro options and a windows option for +$X or whatever so ur laptop can arrive ready to set up with the OS desired on it. I’ve accidentally come across ai instrumental beats a few times. They always lack any sort of soul, I suppose adequate for some background noise but tends to be quite repetitive vs say nightmares on wax or bonobo. The city I used to live in years ago had to install blaring pa systems on all of their city busses to announce turn signals. Yes, u would walk through downtown and hear the ripta bus screaming “left turn, left turn” on repeat because so many pedestrians can’t be bothered to look up from their phone and the city busses kept hitting idiots with zero situational awareness to the point people demand the city do something about it. The best part is that didn’t stop people from walking out in front of busses because half the time they have earphones in and can’t get their face out of their reels on their phones. When you are the slow and vulnerable one you really should be watching out for things that can squash you!

This is dependent on how you order. If your buying from overseas and importing you have to pay tarrifs (most of the time, some sellers offer to sort that for you and reflect it in pricing). But yes if you bought from a us based retailer, the retailer imported and already paid the tarrifs for you. But wait, I didn’t pay the tarrifs! Don’t forget that in a lot of the USA public transport simply doesn’t work. For example in my state the only town u can get around in reasonably in is the big city, and even then your isolated to that city. In my town, (second biggest city in the state with a population smaller than the “small town” in mass I moved from, where everybody said I lived in the “sticks”) there is a small bus network that can get u around town and to the next town, but not enough of a network to make it feasible to commute to work unless u live and work in the same town and are willing to hoof it through snow. Rural areas and public transport simply don’t work, there are some places where private transport simply is the only solution. Now the cities getting planned around cars is another story, but every city I have been in in New England has been a nightmare to traverse in a car and a breeze via public transport so YMMV

My PC does not have WiFi, only Ethernet. If I unplug the Ethernet it’s totally offline.
