Here’s the thing, that bridge would only serve tourists customers of the hotel, not the tax payers of NJ who would be paying for it. So it’s on the hotel here to advocate for their customers and either work with NJDOT for the bridge or run a shuttle. But they put up the sign instead because their only care about their bare minimum liability, not making things safe or convenient.
NJ DOT controls Rt 3 that goes over the bridge. You can recommend it to them.

Nothing changed my perspective on intrusive thoughts like learning they are directly related to mental exhaustion. If you notice them, you need mental rest.
Sleep is helpful but just not doing anything for a little while is helpful too. Sitting around staring into space or looking our a window, no TV, no phone, no book, no shampoo bottle instructions; rawdog reality. Not for super long, 2 or 5 minutes is enough, don’t need to push thoughts away or think of nothing or meditate if that’s not your thing. Just try doing nothing at all for a little bit, let your brain rest.

Why does someone need one of these, you ask?
They are specifically for making yarns by on a wheel or with a hand spindle. If you look at yarn from the store you’ll see it’s made up from 2-6 strands twisted together. This is called ply (like ply wood) and the act of twisting them together is called plying. To make it happen, we twist the individual stands (called singles) in one direction a little bit tighter than the finished yarn will be onto the spools you see there. Then we load 2 or 3 of them into the lazy kate and spin the strands back onto the wheel or spindle, twisting the opposite direction. This sounds easy but it a pain to manage 2 o 3 strands of yarn to twist evenly without a stand like this.
Fancy versions have ways to keep the spools from spinning freely so they don’t unroll too much at a time, they are called tensioned lazy kates
