I literally don’t care at all what people do to resist ICE. Go buck wild, you won’t hear me complaining. I’m literally just saying that characterizing this as a silly little prank is lying when the intention is obviously to cause real physical harm. I do hope that this doesn’t lead to innocent people getting hurt though. Odds are they just salted it the next day anyway.
I don’t know, man. I’m not a statistician, I’m just going off what they reported. I thought we all kinda agreed the CDC was one of the last reputable parts of our government.
It’s an obvious public safety risk, seeing as the government takes action to mitigate the risk everywhere it gets icy every single year. Besides that, if we are placing anecdotes above official reporting, I only really know about this danger because my dad had a friend who was young and healthy who died from smacking his head on the sidewalk after slipping on ice.
You know how sarcasm works right? The comment is obviously downplaying the risk, same as pretty much every other comment on this post. Like damn. If I could have replied to all of the comments here I would have but I chose to reply to this one. I’m not even saying don’t trap the roads, I’m just saying we don’t need to be bullshitting about it online.
Listen I hate ICE as much as the next guy but portraying slipping on ice as harmless is dishonest at best. Slipping and falling is very likely to result in hospitalization or death (over a third of the time, according to the CDC)
We can discredit ICE without distorting reality. All distorting reality does is discredit OURSELVES.
It’s pretty easy to explain why people prefer CLI over GUI programs. You have to learn a new interface for every single GUI program, whereas you learn one interface for every CLI program.
Nah, I find it nearly impossible to have an orgasm with a condom. That, and it genuinely just hurts. I know there are specially made condoms for people on the larger side, but what’s the point? I really just don’t want to have sex with a condom. I’m happy to just not have sex. It’s not a big deal to wait until I’m with someone I love for the long term and have a conversation about long term solutions. I’m looking for a life partner, not a hookup, and condoms aren’t really a “every time you have sex for rest of your life” type solution, both in terms of efficacy and satisfaction.
After hearing about embryos/eggs being misused, I can’t trust my genetic material to some corporation. If I could do it myself that might be an option but hardware fails. I’d rather just keep my faculties intact and be discerning with who I have sex with.
It’s my personal opinion that having sex with a condom is worse than not having sex, and I’m not getting a vasectomy until I’m confident I never want kids. Their reversibility is dubious at best and it’s not worth the risk if you aren’t 100% sure. I’m pretty sure I’ll never have kids, but I’m not even confident enough about how I’ll feel a decade from now to get a tattoo… so making such a big choice is out of the question.
I’m happy to just not have sex with women who aren’t on birth control. If you feel this is wrong, the solution is simple. We can just not have sex together. Problem solved.
Yeah I’m gonna venture a guess and say the poster in the image is not a particularly nice person.

What do you mean do something, can’t you see we’re posting about it? Jokes aside, choosing to not have kids is doing something about it.
