9·22 days agoDidn’t they have some huge controversy for having spyware pre-installed or something like that a few years ago? Doesn’t take away from the direction they’re moving in now, though! Hopefully they continue to move in this more pro-consumer direction.
Yes! I think that gets lost a lot in this type of discourse. A lot of the time the real underlying issue is that our actions are being driven by fear rather than concious, measured choice.
I mean salt is still iodized. Fun fact, adding iodine to salt is actually seen as one of the most cost effective public health measures ever done.

4·1 month agoSounds like the game wasn’t exactly finished. Plus its just one project they finished at a studio, they could certainly have used the employees to work on a different new project.

I think there is a distinction between responsibility and blame. I don’t think blame is easy to assign here, but responsibility is, the parents are responsible. Doesn’t really change anything after the fact, but I also wouldn’t say that the idea of personal responsibility is a fallacy. But just saying that people should be more responsible doesn’t actually change the situation, you’re right.
