Look, just because I can’t prove it it doesn’t mean it’s not true! The truth is somewhere!

Oops, my bad. Trying a new mobile client and I guess it doesn’t show when it’s crossposted? (Or it’s not in an obvious place)
Not even a crosspost? :O Funhole abandoned :c
Yeah, I was confused by that, too. But hey, sensory sensitivity maybe?
Yah OP seems to be out of touch

Technology@lemmy.world•Reddit Almost Disappears from ChatGPT Answers as Search Citations Drop 86%English
1·4 days agoAh yes, I’ve noticed lots of SEO consultant companies are trying to pivot into “we’ll help you to make AI scrape your website more so you show up in the AI search”.
I hadn’t seen the study before, thanks. That’s what I expected, honestly. I guess you could argue they are still building brand awareness, because people subconsciously note the brand as the source, but I don’t think that amounts to much.

1·4 days agoOh, definitely. They are reinventing the old portals concept. That’s why I don’t think Reddit actually wants to encourage the scraping (partly also because they sell data themselves to build LLM, but that’s another thing)

1·5 days agono, but we weren’t talking about that. the topic was “why more people don’t use Firefox” I’m replying to you in Librewolf. I still don’t have to like Firefox, nor recommend it to people at this point.

1·5 days agopro-AI for starters, lots of people aren’t happy with that. (this is related to the AI, but started long before then: ) their insistence on focusing on anything else but the actual browser, Firefox also occasionally changes (privacy related) settings after upgrade (Edit: as reported by users online) or when they installed extensions remotely to people’s browsers as part of some kind of promo (I believe it was Mr. Robot?).
There might be more, but this is what I can think of from the top of my head.
Edit: typos
