3·2 months agoNoo the hair is great. I think Pulaski was better too. It’s just that the vast majority of star trek fans identity with data because of reasons and she’s not warm off the bat or geared towards the masculine gaze. She’s a top notch doctor but before she’s been through the particular experiences that lend to a cold but genuinely helpful empathy. Which would have made for some killer character development had she not been replaced.
Have to watch DS9 again but remember the scenes where he encounters his abuser facading as his family as being particularly brutal and being annoyed he was put in that situation to begin with. Like the crew of DS9 didn’t recognise any issue until he’d involuntarily shapeshifted into a monster

That sounds extremely frustrating. I’d ask her to clarify what she means because as far as I know a mandatory reporter only has to report when a person is planning to hurt someone else or themselves. Maybe she’s just not a good fit, too young, too inexperienced etc. It’s pretty standard to go through a couple of different ones before you find what’s right for you. And you need to be able to talk about that stuff openly that’s the whole point of therapy.
