This is the front side. The back side is not so clean. It’s a small TV broadcaster in the central USA. Im designing the replacement system for those racks currently.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the last new (to you) band you got really into?
4·5 days agoI’m currently waiting for Jesse Welles to take the stage. His song “RED” hooked me hard.
Probably, but they’re likely cheaper per watt hour than the style in the photo.
I got a cheap UPS for this. They’re designed more for this purpose. My fiber modem takes FOREVER to reconnect so it’s moreso for little power dips in my case.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•It is now better than ever to find alternatives to fossil fuels, do you have any plans?
6·11 days agoThe panels are cheap. The interconnect isn’t too bad and the controller is another chunk, but it’s the install that keeps me from a cheap DIY. I really don’t want to mess up my roof.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What movie do you think is really underrated?
2·17 days agoSneakers is a lot of fun, but there’s one scene that just irks me. In the beginning of the film, the main character is picking up a check from a bank teller after their “white hat” elite team stole (then returned) untold millions from the same bank. The teller cuts him a check and asks what he does. He gives a short explanation and he says “it’s a living”. She looks at the check and back at him saying “not a very good one”. It’s clear that she’s a low level employee and there were 4 or 5 people on the crew, and she’d have no idea how much work went into the job. Even at minimum wage, it would have been a pretty nice paycheck and she would have had no idea whether it was a good amount, nor whether it was just one guy getting paid the amount on the check. The comment makes no sense.

10·2 months agoMy sex trophies are actually kinda fun. They’re just getting to the stage of life where they have their own creativity starting to show and it’s a lot of fun to see things from their eyes.
I still consume on Reddit, but won’t post or contribute there anymore.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When/how frequently do you replace your phone with a new one?
0·3 months agoiPhone 11 Pro Max. Still on ios18 but will probably go to 26 soon because of security updates. I expect this to be the last iOS update that will install, so I’ll probably pony up for a new phone in September, for a 7 year lifespan.
I went with the top of the range $1400 model because I knew I’d use it for hours every day, for a long time. It ends up costing ing about 55 cents a day, and saving a couple bucks on the front end doesnt make sense to me.
Turbos can and are very often used to increase efficiency. You’re extracting waste gasses to compress air and overall it’s a net gain. Especially if it’s being run at more constant load, such as highway cruising or charging an EV battery.
