I guess if you have multiple computers you can access the files from either computers. But for people that just have one computer the whole thing seems kinda useless. And then MS forces people to use this product they have no need for by holding their computer ransom. People don’t want their files on One Drive, they only have it because MS forced it upon them.

This is like forcing a passenger to fly a 747 and then saying “well the plane crashed because of pilot error” and ignoring the fact that someone was forced some to be behind the controls of something they understand against their will.

For a home user, a backup service or just a way to share files actually makes more sense than something that mindlessly syncs file actions, including deletes. One Drive could be useful if it were what people expect it to be. As it is, it’s useless for most people, and bad on them for thinking MS One Drive was a useful product I guess.

If you define it by the number of casualties, you’ll find most wars would have to be labelled genocide since the Israel-Hamas war had fewer casualties than many many other conflicts.

Right… so what happens after I have to sell my shares to pay my rent? Or maybe my company does really well and your company doesn’t. My company is successful enough to expand, but fuck that, I’m not diluting the share value by hiring more employees that would get a share in the company. Or maybe new employees don’t get shares? After I retire do I get to keep the shares in the company? Is it legal for employees to sell the shares in the company? What’s the value of something that’s illegal to sell?

If there’s less demand for the products my company sells but still enough demand that the company could still function, but with fewer people, how is it decided which employee loses their jobs and which continues to be employed?

The “owning the means of production” thing isn’t actually feasible. When socialists that promise that get into power they invariably redefine the definition of that. Ultimately there’s going to be people that are making decisions that impact other people. Call it wealth, call it power, you either have someone calling the shots (and hopefully that person is fair) or you get tragedy of the commons everywhere.

1. I think ideologies are for the intellectually lazy. Different solutions are optimal for different problems. People thinking free markets for everything just want one simple solution for all problems they don’t want to think about which solution works best for individual problem. Same goes for people that that socialism for everything. It takes effort to find different solutions for each problem, so the intellectually lazy gravitate towards ideologies that claim one solution will solve all the problems. That’s never worked because it always winds up with telling an expert in a field they have to do things in a stupid way to conform to ideology.

2. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Read some history. Canada actually bombed a children’s hospital in WWII. They missed their target you see. The children’s hospital was built a little to close to a target with strategic value. You might be able to find the vitriol spewed by Guering (or maybe it was Goebels, Nazis are all alike) over the incident.

No one thinks much of it now. The Nazis were clearly the aggressor, and bombs miss their targets sometimes. It was a horrible event to be sure, but an event that wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for the Nazis going on some insane campaign to restore the ethnic makeup of the region to how it was in the history books. What’s the goal of Hamas again?

There was a clear act that initiated the Israel-Hamas war (October 7), Hamas was clearly the aggressor. The casualty rate is consistent with similar military urban combat operations. And, need I remind you again? None of it would’ve happened if Hamas hadn’t massacred villages and taken hostage.

Hamas did horrible things, and initiated a war which they lost. Check the news. Iran, the backer of Hamas is on the ropes.

In the future do you want to be some loser that claims “actually Hamas was in the right” the same way losers say “actually the Nazis had some good points”? Gonna be a person that points out the allies did some bad things in WWII to try to prove “actually the allies were worse than the Nazis.” That’s what the future is for Hamas supporters.

You’re in a bubble right now where you aren’t hearing about how horrible Hamas is. Iran had a big part to play in creating that bubble, similar to how Russia created a bubble where Ukraine started the war with Russia. With what’s going on right now, what are you going to do when that bubble is no longer being inflated by a nation state? Will you admit you were wrong, or will you be a loser that continues to pretend past genocidal losers were the good guys?
