We’ve heard about it before alright, some students today do deliberate mistakes in their works cause writing phrases correctly flags you as AI by university’s anti-AI AI. We will get real artists flagged, I’m sure of it.

Do you really need to ask this question with LLMs around? We had big data for several decades and when it emerged, nobody gave a fuck about privacy cause of “who would even want to look at me specifically?”.

Now we get to the point where everyone can be analysed via AI. All the types of questions could be answered almost automatically:

• What do I need to say to this group of people to be elected?
• List all vulnerabilities of person X.
• List all the people that look like they have money and not enough connections to protect themselves.

Etc etc.

Wealth is an abstract. What is a corporation price? You do one media statement and the price plummets. The “means of production” surely cost some, but if it crumbles and you just sell whatever you can, it would be a tiny fracture of what “the company” was “worth” before.

The most wealthiest people don’t just sit on cash, they run businesses. One of the reasons why you can’t just eat the rich (even if you have the power), it’s just not effective. You’ll get scraps by killing the whole industries.

What you can do is tax the “rich” with progressive taxes, where the “rich” is an upper working class, and maybe lower middle class. Its never about the wealthiest.

It goes down to number of vram / unified ram you have. There is no magic to make 8b perform like top tier subscription based LLMs (likely in 500b+ range, wouldn’t be surprised if trillions).

If you can get to 32b / 80b models, that’s where magic starts to happen.

I’m in the English-speaking country now and it was one of the reasons to emigrate there specifically, cause I’ve learned the language over the years at home, first by playing games & reading lyrics & browsing internets, then by watching movies with subs, then by forcing myself to switch subs off and catch the spelling. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t activitypub essentially have this thing that stuff you see in “All” is the stuff that is cached by your server, on the basis “someone from your server subbed to something on their server”? I mean this shouldn’t be a problem for any moderately sized threadiverse server, as you’ll see all the popular servers anyway, but idk if that’s the case for smaller ones.

Mastodon is bad and doesn’t replace twitter. No algorithmic feed = doomed to fail. Threadiverse somehow works only cause upvotes and comments create decent sorting metrics for browsing all subs.
