I was using tumbleweed last fall and there was an update that prevented my desktop from remembering where to put my icons for ~6 weeks. Not a huge issue, but interesting that you had none.

9·1 month agoHad a dentist explain this to me one time, because he knew someone who was the one dentist. The argument is that many toothpastes contain high amounts of sugar, so improper brushing with toothpaste can actually be worse than proper brushing without it.
The argument of the 10th dentist is that the toothpaste matters less than the technique.

162·1 month agoIn case this is something of a deal breaker for someone, please try setting up a VM and playing around with Linux. You don’t need to install it on your main system, or try dual booting it, but load up a VM and give it a shot. You don’t have to stick with it and if you don’t like it or it doesn’t work for you or it’s too confusing or whatever, that’s fine. At least you can say that you gave it a shot.
I have had terrible luck with cleaning my buds in recent years. My first set of Bluetooth buds had a mesh grate and no rubber bit (don’t know what to call that bit that holds it in your ear) meaning that I could kinda clean it with a cotton swab but it would miss a lot because it was effectively trapped behind the metal. The other two have had a sort of cotton stuffing in the audio channel that I have to be super careful to not pull out while I clean it.

5·2 months agoI only back into my parking space at home. I’ll gladly spend the extra time when I’m awake in the evening if it means that I don’t have to think about backing out in the morning.
I play too much Skyrim (between the various copies I’ve owned, I have ~3.5k hours) and one of the ways I keep it repayable is by using the Enaisiaion overhauls that another commenter mentioned.
They’re made to be largely “vanilla+” type mods, but they overhaul nearly everything. Races, perks, standing stones, the magic system, werewolves & vampires, and enchantments. He also has one that adds a faith system where you can worship the various deities of Tamriel and I think that one is a must have at this point.

Political Memes@lemmy.world•I'm fine with them naming this boat after Trump
14·2 months agoIt absolutely is. AI piss yellow filter, AI font, the red band around the bottom gets covered by the back of the boat instead of continuing around.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•You want a easy way to convert Fahrenheit to Centigrade? Subtract 30 and divide by 2
6·2 months agoNo it’s not true, though it is a close approximation. Another has the actual formula, but the proof that it’s incorrect is that 32°F = 0°C, while (32-30)/2 = 1.

1·2 months agoNope, just uBlock. If I disable uBlock before loading the page everything works fine as well, so I’m pretty sure it’s uBlock.
But I’m on Linux (openSuse Tumbleweed) and have had some interesting “distro specific” bugs in recent months, so I’m chalking it up to “my OS + Firefox” and not “uBlock”
