From what I’ve heard it’s got a worse Nazi problem than Twitter

Bazzite is a good option.
Yeah don’t get me wrong Biden wasn’t my favorite but the ICE funding he put in place was for expansion on accommodations to prisoners so they could be treated humanely while in custody.
In regards to Gaza, not going to defend him, he was all talk no action. Israel’s actions were a travesty from the start.
However it has only expanded under Trump. If one could compare the magnitude of travesties such as this it has only accelerated under Trump.

I’d agree with that, they’ve been running right if center for a long time and their intentional stifling of real progressives have been a large reason for voter apathy. I am happy that AOC and Mamdani show that real change is possible but I won’t hold my breath that the party will change their tune any time soon.

I’ll give you that Dems are great at shooting themselves in the foot but in recent elections Russian propaganda has had a real effect and it would be dangerous to pretend otherwise. That being said I think Mamdani has shown the real progressives win. So let’s hope this gets through but I won’t hold my breath. Look forward to another four years of them trying to win over ‘middle America’
No of course not, meant only to imply that it does not rest solely with him
This is the first take I’m 100% on board with.
This is largely because Democrats haven’t had a majority capable of passing without at least a couple decenting Republicans for a long time and Republicans are very very very good at keeping the party in line.
Now should Democrats play the same game? Perhaps you could argue it’s a moral failing not to but I think a lot truely believe in freedom of the vote much more that Republicans do. However I will admit it’s disheartening to see it so repeatedly abused.
Yeah I gotta agree with you, while I’m not a fan of party politics it seems the necessary evil of such a system
I agree with all of this, he has been a disappointment and his apathy has been a large part of why there haven’t been enough progressives in US politics. I agree on all points but it just feels like that lays on more people’s heads than his.
In a large sense, yeah the systemic issues we find ourselves in are largely born from lack of education and increasing alienation caused by the decay of capitalism into techno feudalism and I won’t wash his hands of his part in keeping that fester but I also know that we all knew what was at stake this time around.
I agree with you, Schumer has mismanaged the party and spurred voter apathy but we all knew what was at stake. He didn’t force the votes.
No it really really hasn’t
I mean, yeah but the current problem started with education and ended with the voting booth.
Now what we can blame Schumer for is voter apathy by leading a party the prioritized appealing to Republicans instead of progressive and spurring apathy but I still think we all knew what was at stake at the voting booth this time around.
Oh believe me, I know.
Yeah I’ll give you that, the Democratic party has done everything in its power to undermine progressives and to appeal to Republicans, a strategy that has definitely led to voter apathy.
True and we should hold them accountable for the state of the Democratic party. The current state of the USA started at education and ended at the voting booth. Can’t blame Mr. Schumer for that one.
never boo someone for being late to a party, just hand them a beer
