3 days agoLast I checked near me, these guardrails exist, but I’m sure in some red state they’re allowed to garnish wages for medical debt with no restrictions.

1·3 days agoMy lightning is a gigantic piece of shit. It’s been in the shop 40 days in one year of ownership. The infotainment screen software runs at 15fps. VW doesn’t have an electric option with at least 320 miles of range (afaik) and their infotainment center screens are way too small (15” is the minimum at which a screen can be useful). Rivian is unaffordable and has the same slowness problem with their software. (Tesla does the right thing which is putting a processor that’s way overpowered in the infotainment stack which means that the software will be 120FPS for years to come)
3·3 days agoAnother fun fact, the Mason-Dixon Line was surveyed and drawn between 1763-1767, predating any belligerence of the revolutionary war.

The Mason-Dixon Line was drawn including Maryland to the south, and defined political divide for centuries. Maryland was considered “southern” until the 60s. It was the first state to become progressive and creep closer to the Union states north of it.

I’d buy Chinese if I could, but I can’t. Chinese cars are the only cars that are as high of quality in the infotainment department (the most important part of a car), and I’m absolutely pissed that that is the reality.

4·5 days agoAfter watching some playthroughs, I can comfortably say that this game is awful. That said, I don’t like 2D fighters, but this would absolutely not make me want to play one.
The queue-room idea was pretty cool as a concept though.
My father got expelled as a senior in high school for changing his failing grades in the electronic system in 1985 (he was probably going to fail anyway). He got a job at HP in electrical engineering a few years later in his early 20s. My mother barely graduated high school. They both bought a house by 27/25.
5·7 days agoI buy the card with the highest benchmark scores that I can afford. It’s not a political green vs red choice.
While Fort Worth is a red city, it’s still a major city in the Dallas area. Fort Worth is not full of rednecks who work the fields
My childhood experience is irrelevant, such that I will say that heavily comparing your struggles to others leads nowhere. Truth is, you’ll always find someone who had it worse. No one wins the struggle olympics; and just to be honest with you, after a threshold, one can just say they had a bad start. I wish you the best and hope you move past it in the best way you can for yourself.
41·22 days agoI started out lib-right as a child, and am now lib-left. My father is a true white suprematist.
That my family was crazy. I grew up in a crazy dynamic, looking back now, was like living in a strict dictatorship like North Korea, so I never questioned them.
Me and my husband play this on emulator
That’s where I moved to right at 18 lol.
I just cannot see how there’s any complexity to it. Compared to league, what’s the point if you can just hit square to win?
