Well, they’re actually not paying taxes on that portion. So they’re effectively getting to use your taxes to to multiply their promotion of whatever the goverment defines as charitable, be it food pantries or religious communities “providing” conversion therapy.

“No matter who” means that your vote has no influence. If nothing will dissuade you from voting, nevermind make you switch sides, you don’t influence party politics at all. Your vote is a freebie, the party can just sweeten the deal with anyone else, with no regard to you or the country’s future.
