I did decide if this thing actually works I’ll probably install linear rails, the kit is ~$70 on their site and should make x and y a lot more precise. The gantry style x/y feels pretty loose TBH though that could be the frame being loose. I may add locktite to the frame fasteners.
Thank you, I haven’t done the kapton tape yet but hairspray did the trick for my first couple of prints.
Money tree, I’m planning to scale up the same print and run it again once I get filament in a color I like better.
I hope that’s what my daughter wants out of this because it’s what I can provide for now.
It’ll probably be somewhere between there and 3.
Thank you, I’ll look up the flashing process.
That’s an interesting idea but I don’t know if there’s a market for it where I’m at, we don’t have the best local economy.
I’ll be sure to let my daughter know that, I think she’ll be ok though, she’s a computer science major and has a decent mechanical aptitude.
I see your point on patience, the biggest reason I want to fix the v3 and let my daughter have the other two is automatic bed leveling. Doing it manually sounds like a chore.
I should retire in 23 more years but the truth of the matter is I’m going to work until the day I die, probably at the same hospital where I currently work. Maybe I’ll eventually be a nurse but when I’m too old to do patient care I’ll stay on as a sitter until I croak or go senile.
Glad I uninstalled 365 and got Office 2024 instead, less than $20 and I don’t have to deal with this bullshit.
Plenty of celebrities and highly paid athletes commit suicide, wealth cannot cure depression. Same answer.
Nope, I’ve been fighting my own mind for over 4 decades and possibly have another 4ish to look forward to. Lizard or not, tacking another 919 years onto my life sounds like torture.
There’s sharing resources and then there’s being a dick.
I actually preferred the early days, I don’t like most of the recent updates and I haven’t played in probably a year. I can’t really explain why except now it feels too busy.
I’m getting Elmer Fudd on my ass this Monday, so, um, that.
“Ok but can I at least have 10 more minutes?”
That’s a shame but I am enjoying working on printers as much as I am printing to be honest. As far as money sinks, I could have bought a nice bambu brinter for what I have into my ad5x and ender 3. It’s easier to see after the fact. Perhaps this one will go in the attic until I feel like throwing more money in a hole. Thanks for the reply :)
