But they use Grindr to make sure they aren’t gay. Just have to make sure periodically. Like once a week.

I’ve had a K1 for a couple of years now, and I’ve never had issues getting parts for it. I recently replaced the hot end and hot end breakout board because of my own personal stupidity, and I was able to just buy the parts. And they fit.
Is something different about your or my K1?

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a piece of Media that is so underrated you must mention it?
5·2 days agoI played the first game a lot when I was younger, the 16 color EGA version with a command line interface. I got pretty good at typing and spelling as a kid because of that game. The version I had was “Hero’s Quest”, it’s the same game, but a board game company sued them over the name, so later releases are called “Quest for Glory”.

20·5 days agoI wonder where they are… Recently a warehouse in OKC was going to be purchased for this, but the seller backed out because it was going to be a detention center.
Actually, they backed out because the locals threw a fit about it. We should do more of that.
Until a significant portion of the population does the same

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's it like to sleep with other people's wives?
12·5 days agoI did once in my very early 20’s. She wasn’t happy with her husband, and she made the first move but I can’t say I’m innocent. Wish I could go back and not do it.
I have a strange problem with my other half when it comes to cheating. It’s nothing bad on either of us, no decision we made, but a set of circumstances has aligned to make me feel like I was cheating on my wife. She had a chronic medical issue that I managed to fix using good testing methods and a spreadsheet. As a result, she started feeling better, more energetic, inflammation went away, and she lost a good chunk of weight, which took her from “Adorable chubby wife” to “Holy shit, look at that MILF”. This, combined with some strange visual processing problem I have where I cant easily recognize faces, and for several months I felt like I was cheating on my wife.

371·6 days agoI used to mark buried utilities. I was one of the guys who came out when you “Call 811 before you dig”. My normal area was in upscale neighborhoods with two and three story McMansions. The people who lived in these neighborhoods were often times rude, sometimes they got mad when I showed up. (which is silly because they called for a locate) Sometimes they called the police. I had one homeowner who tried to get their hulking German Shepherd to attack me. (Which was funny, they had some infrastructure in their yard, I knew the dog very well, and he knew me as the guy who had leftover mcnuggets in my vest pocket)
Sometimes I’d be on call, and I’d end up in those “uNsAfE gHetTo” areas, and without exception every single person I interacted with in these “bad” neighborhoods was polite, helpful, and friendly. I had to work on labor day once, and was marking a yard next to a house that was having a barbecue. The man with the grill was visibly distraught that I was working labor day, and he MADE me take a hamburger and a soda with me when I left. I was never threatened, never had the police called on me, but I was offered water, beer, or weed any time I went to the poor neighborhoods.

My phone is a Fossibot F106. It’s a rugged smartphone. It weighs 456 grams, it’s about 25 mm thick. I charge it twice a week and it’s made me so spoiled.
There are a few different ruggedized smartphones on the the market. They are worth checking out.
