  • Breonna Taylor was shot in her own house during a (likely racially motivated) no-knock raid. Her boyfriend shot back at the police and wounded at least one if them. I wouldn’t say he got off “scott free” but he was acquitted.

So in the case where unidentified masked men raid you without a warrant, you absolutely can shoot them. The problem is the law is going to bend over backwards to convict you, so you need an absolutely airtight case, and expect to spend 4 or 5 years in jail awaiting trial at a minimum.

  • Garbage article is garbage.

In July 2022, about 18 months after Biden became president, a regional Secret Service office requested that agents conduct a “preliminary protective intelligence investigation” targeting the Maine man, an Army veteran, for one or more posts on Twitter.

They then show the evidence sheet, and the guy was calling current or former phone numbers of Biden’s family, and when he posted that response on Twitter, it was a reply to a post that said “what illegal things are you doing Friday night?”

Keep in mind, that this is all shortly after a bunch of armed maga chuds tried to overthrow the country. So all in, we have repetitive antagonism through different means, making a specific threat, and a history of this kind of activity in the past.

The whole article is based on documents that the Heritage foundation FOIA’d and released. I trust those guys even less that I trust the current government.

  • Fox news already admitted (multiple times) that their programs are not news, and that no sane person would consider it news.

I think we need a law that says if a media organization is guilty of intentionally spreading fake news, that they need to spend an equal amount of time and effort on correcting the story.

So if fox spent 4 years spreading disinfo about the 2020 election, then they need to spend 4 years, on the same timeslots, broadcasts, and webpages, reporting that they intentionally spread disinfo.

Also, they should have to run a “surgeon general anti-smoking” style banner on all their programming that says “FOX INSISTS THAT THEIR CONENT IS NOT NEWS AND DOES NOT ACCURATELY REPORT FACTS AND CONTEXT.”
