How come there aren’t large protests with burnt tires, thrown concrete blocks, and biological waste being pumped into government buildings like France had in the recent years? And before anybody points that out, French police and military also have guns, so being armed is not unique to the US forces. Hasn’t prevented the unarmed Frenchies from taking action too.

This is a bit of an overstatement. Brave has competent software developers - they created their Rust-based content blocker, and kept it as open-source. It’s one of the most powerful blocking mechanisms, often working in places where even the rightfully praised uBlock Origin doesn’t (good examples are in YouTube itself last year when they’ve made a big attempt to stop adblocking by changing the underlying mechanism of how ads are being served in videos).
They were perfectly capable of developing advanced software before AI coding agents were a thing. They’re skilled and delivering.

It’s not about universal hate towards a particular nation - more about the idea how our current society is becoming progressively more unbearable by denying life basics to the common folk. Things like “earning a living wage” implies that below a certain threshold we don’t deserve to live. Real estate developers scalping the housing, making it unaffordable. All while a few hundred people owns a huge portion of wealth, constantly growing it and meddling into politics.
Other things like the reality of not actually being able to vote things away once totalitarian parties takeover a country’s legal systems using democratic means.
There’s plenty of that going as to why many like Karl Marx as a literary inspiration.
There are far better options for visually pleasant housing than these Soviet Union era blocks.
Like, seeing so many of these in Poland or other post-Soviet countries is just sad. They’re grey, neglected, and the people who are forced to choose them don’t have any other option.
We could have affordable housing that has some proper aesthetics. Just got to take care of the real estate developer mafias around the world first.
