I can at least confirm that around me, that a number of small business construction companies and landscapers both struggle a lot to deal with the illegals undercutting them.
Theres also a problem with harassment from them standing out side grocery stores and home Depot/Lowe’s. They harass the elderly frequently and it’s a huge burden on the local sheriff to deal with it.
My own family has lost a tens of thousands of dollars of jobs over the last two years because home owners and small businesses decide to hire Mexicans half way though a job.
The costs in legal fees to deal with broken contracts hurts us more then what they lose by just kicking us out after we have started the job and basically laid everything out.
