To be a class traitor cops would have to be workers / working class. They’re not. They may be paid like the working class (but not always), and live in working class communities. But, they don’t have bosses in the same way normal workers do. If a cop breaks the law, it’s other cops who investigate, and mostly will cover it up. If they fuck up too bad, they just have to be a cop somewhere else. Even in supposedly democratic places, the public oversight of the cops is basically a joke. So, the cops are really only answerable to the elite. The elite know that the cops are there to enforce their will, not the laws, so they let cops get away with all kinds of things, as long as when necessary the cops will back them.

Its a meme because actual cops arent capable of this level of self reflection, they would probably start screaming “STOP RESISTING PUT DOWN YOUR WEAPON” and then unload an entire magazine into you.
