Social Security is easily the simplest problem in the country to solve. Just raise the income cap. It’s around $170K now, just raise it to $250k, or $500k, or whatever some smart statistician (not MAGA, they can’t do math) determines.
It’s really as easy as that. Some higher income people are going to complain, but who cares?
Or…as the GOP prefers, we have a ton of outgroups who pay into the system for life, then get deported or murdered before collecting. Combined with slave labor, and a few distasteful pogroms it just might work.
The problem with it is that they’ll just keep stealing from it. The fund was fine where it was, the problem was that the gov doesn’t know how to properly spend the money it gets.
