Got up just a touch earlier than I wanted and had a craving for a corporate breakfast. I grabbed some dough out of the fridge and shaped it into a ball and dusted it with cornmeal before heating a cast iron pan to 400°f and made myself a fresh English muffin.

Cost per person: 30¢ with 15.6¢ of that being the slice of individually wrapped American cheese food product. A real official branded McMuffin wouldn’t use a whole slice. Those things are ridiculously profitable.

I have used canning lids and I have purpose built 4 inch rings too. But those are another thing to clean.

I highly recommend checking out the silicon ones if you enjoy the egg sandwiches (assuming size is English muffin), mine have an arm that makes them easier to deal with. Like a metal arm with a silicon end that makes it simple to work with while hot.

Cleaning is quite simple with that material which is a good bit to my needs … Bit lazy for the cleanup is all.
