US Vice President JD Vance endured a chorus of “boos” as US athletes began their march at the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony, after Israeli athletes faced the same unwarm welcome.

That website is cancer without an ad block on mobile. Get a better mobile browser mate.

I have ublock origin? Is the filter in the annoyance lists? Maybe I didn’t enable them.

I just installed Brave back in the day when it was one of the only mobile browsers with built in adblock. Still works fine and never have to fuck with lists. So I’ve just left it as default for external links. I don’t do much article reading on mobile unless Lemmy links me somewhere so have never bothered to change. I’m sure there are better options though.

Yeah. I don’t do anything on my phone that I don’t assume is tracked. It’s a good rule to live by. False sense of privacy in things like Signal or otherwise are just that. If you can visually see the text or images on your phone assume it’s going to Palantir. If you have a burner phone. It’s associated with you if you so much as bring it near your personal phone.

Being paranoid and assuming everything digital is watched is the only real security you can have.

uBlock Origin’s element picker allows you to remove that swipe for next article thing permanently. Just tested it and could properly read the article without that trash blocking my screen.
