I still buy new and used movies, games, and all sorts of media. I think with vhs, dvd and Blu-ray combined we’re around 1700 now and still growing. I’ve kept a lot of physical games and systems since I was kid so I’ve had a collection for a bit but with movies it started with not being able to watch Young Frankenstein anywhere. No place to rent or watch even though I had like 4-5 services at the time. I bought the dvd for it and 2 days later it was on Amazon. No more lol
Also using this and have been for around a year now. I set it to pull thumbnails and descriptions off the videos and give it a specific folder in my main media drive so it’s easy to pick up in Plex. Worked great so far!
Worth noting too: you can set it up to monitor a playlist. I use this feature by making a public playlist and I add stuff to the playlist that I dont want to lose.
Ah SimTower is so fun lol I played it in the browser a few weeks back just to experience it again. Those sim games are always a blast, I’ll have to go back to Simcity and SimCopter sometime
It’s worked okay for me so far as well. The mobile apps aren’t super stable yet and notifications don’t work but it works for what it is right now. I do miss the stability of discord but I’m not going back
I also heard that at some point. I ended up moving a fan server to Stoat and it’s been okay but a lot of people didn’t wanna leave discord so it’s tough. It’s rough to even find populated chat servers to talk to anyone anymore either without having discord
Incredible runs on kingdom hearts 2, castlevania and gauntlet! Plenty more in there I’ll be checking out over the coming weeks.

I dropped off Twitter in 2020 and finally deleted instagram and Facebook by 2025.
I had friends on twitter and really enjoyed talking to people but after COVID hit there was something evil out of that site that hit me real bad and I started losing friends as I was concerned for loved ones health around me and everyone else wasn’t. So I left. There were other things I didn’t like on twitter but I figured it was just me. I guess it wasn’t. Instagram I never posted on but Facebook I was active until late 2020. Active arguments with people through 2020, trying to plead with friends and family to be cautious didn’t do much so I gave up talking and my Facebook on stayed active to talk to my father. Moved him to discord in 2025 and deleted Facebook then.
I’m sure looking back there were more platform specific things that I didn’t like but I know it’s only worse now. My best friend has stated multiple times that twitter doesn’t care about what’s posted anymore so you’ll see illegal videos of death all the time. Once you realize that social media (like that) breeds a kind of conflict with those around you, it’s much less fun.
These days I only have signal and this. Delete discord back in March lol
It’s a fun game! I played it for around 10 hours on steam deck. It’s a bit difficult to get the controls right but it’s a blast when it works
