Like when one kid is jealous of another kids toy so the parent buys another one just for them but the kid doesn’t want it because they wanted that one. And the fact that he’s probably absolutely livid every time someone brings up Obama’s peace prize is hilarious to me.
I could honestly see this backfiring in a really funny way. Not only will they actually try harder to get them to learn to read, but in my experience kids tend to hate books they are forced to read. In the setting that is church there’s more of a peer pressure from all the other kids and adults to learn the bible. In high-school/middle-school there’s peer pressure to not read the books you are supposed to read save for those that love reading. The only books I remember reading from those years are the ones I chose to read while the ones I was told to read had left my brain almost entirely by my mid 20s
This isn’t something we will be able to act on retroactively. What I mean is that if nobody in our government or military stops Trump from going nuclear in Iran there is no going back. If he isn’t stopped until after it happens, nobody in the entire world will trust Americans ever again and we will all be hated (even more than we already are). This is the single biggest avoidable threat to national security that has ever existed. It’s already the case that nobody outside the US cares if you are one of the “good ones” or not. If this fuck-face does what we all think he wants to do, the US and its citizens will be internationally considered a threat to everyone elses national security and will be cut off from the rest of the world indefinitely.
Nobody will give a shit who you voted for or which protests you went to or not, everyone will hate us and rightfully so. If Trump goes nuclear in Iran it’ll be the end of the American Empire basically overnight.
They’re not skeptical about birthright citizenship in and of itself, they’re just skeptical about this specific argument to end it. If they did decide to end it they’d want it to be rock solid and hard to argue against and not whatever the hell they were presented here.

We can’t even get them to upgrade our infrastructure to the 21st century in some cases so good luck with that. We still got shit running on Windows 7 or even Windows XP.
This isn’t sustainable. Almost all of our infrastructure runs on computers and eventually it will reach a point where you have a computer in charge of vital infrastructure that won’t be able to buy replacement part and it’ll just fail.
It did at first but after a couple years of vaping it basically feels the same now. Even got the smokers cough back even though I’m just vaping.

Taxes are cool when they work properly. The problem with taxes right now is that we’re not really getting much benefit for what we pay and those that have the most are not paying their fair share. Not only that, a large portion of our tax money is going directly to those companies that refuse to pay taxes.
Easier said than done. I used to smoke a pack a day for 10 years and I’ve tried to quit entirely many times in the past. I’ve tried every method there is out there and it never sticks. If anything, vaping has helped me cut down on my nicotine input significantly because sometimes I don’t even use it for half the day and having it next to me is enough to get rid of cravings.
Yeah, surprisingly. But it’s just vaping now. I started vaping to quit smoking but you have to account for half of gen z getting hooked on juuls awhile back. When those first became popular I was more surprised when I found people that didn’t vape.
Well, they did have the pods more widely available back when I started vaping to quit smoking. Unfortunately, big tobacco companies lobbied to get all the pod flavors banned and now the only ones you can get at gas stations are menthol and tobacco flavor which both taste awful. Disposable vapes filled the market gap that was created and now we have disposable vapes with lithium batteries plaguing the places cigarette butts used to be.
Used to be a pack a day smoker. Personally I don’t think it’s better for my health, but I don’t smell like an ash tray so I got that going for me.
Disposable vapes are genuinely evil. With the lithium inside the batteries they are significantly more dangerous than throwing a cigarette out your car window. They have chips inside them with metals that can be recycled and they are made of a hard plastic that’ll be around for thousands if years. Whenever I mention this to people I know they agree with me that it’s evil but continue to use disposable vapes because it’s more convenient. I keep telling my roommates that it’s massively cheaper to get a refillable one and they always agree but never buy one. Every time I go to the vape shop to get juice and coils I drop off a literal tub of disposable vapes from my roommates.
I’m so tired of people being complacent in this and I’m tired of making this rant. People will get nervous about batteries when they see a phone explode in someone’s pocket but they’ll throw that shit on the ground or in the trash without a second thought. Just go back to smoking if you wanna throw shit on the ground. It’s better for the environment and public safety that way anyway.
