Heat dissipation was my very first thought. Musk’s whole premise is absolute horseshit with modern and even near-future tech.
It’s not a problem like “get heavy thing off ground”, where we can study principles of lift, throw fossil fuels at rocketry, etc. There is no magic bullet for “move this massive amount of heat somewhere else”; entropy has too much to say on the subject.

The website that pulls this off would get the $2.75 I keep not giving Wikipedia.

I dunno. Erika Kirk’s late husband was only 31.

In principle, I agree.
Reaching out to the people who haven’t moved on from the captured platforms, however, still has the potential to do good. If a large population is only or almost only using Twitter, then the message never reaches them if no one on Twitter is saying it. Of course, the algorithm will do what it can to minimize such voices, but a small amount of message saturation is more than none.

Sam L did “unchain” Jango’s head, though, in Star Wars.

Yes, the president appoints and fires the attorney general. However, unlike most subordinates, the attorney general is meant to execute the role without direction from the president, according to their own expertise and judgment.
Since the attorney general may have just cause to pursue legal action against members of the administration and/or allies of the president, and since those people should not be rendered immune to prosecution based on their association with the president, it is necessary for the health of our whole government system that the attorney general act independently. If they fail to perform that job, the president should replace them - and that is a choice that should never be made lightly, as there is a gigantic potential conflict of interest.

“Artificial intelligence gains sentience, decides humans are fucking up… then deletes itself because the problem is that humans are burning the world by using AI” is not the path I expected. What a twist in a movie that could be. The second twist, which is the mostly fictional part, would be where that included some AI that was actually critical to some vital but ignored chunk of infrastructure and big BIG problems result from the AI taking itself out.

In principle, the Dept of Justice is meant to be completely independent of the White House. The point is to have a federal entity concerned with the law over politics. If they are failing to actually prosecute the law, then a change in leadership is needed, but as far as which specific cases to.pursuw to pursue and how, that should be separate from whichever person/party is in power.
Edit: just the typo that’s struck-through and retyped.

Amazing work! Another notch in the… computer… desk? Phone case?

It was my first thought when Elon was circling Twitter, pre-purchase.

It seems like a no-lose for aspiring oligarchs, buying a social media platform with a large enough left and/or youth user base:

Individually, many MAGA folks are cowardly. However, they also claim to despise cowards. So maybe this can be used to make them tear themselves apart.

If these officers “feared for their lives” in this situation, maybe we need some agents who aren’t fucking cowards. I didn’t realize MAGA knowingly celebrated cowardly men.

"The bubble is gonna burst sooner or later, and we really hope we can do something to convince everyone there is something useful here - whether that’s by finally making something good enough, or just finally turning non-stakeholder tech-literate people over to our side.
“Because otherwise everything we all poured into this was for nothing, and we will have to scramble like lunatics to not end up on the chopping block of history.”

I heard that if you don’t get your groceries via Walmart+ delivery, then it’s smuggling.
It could certainly be one plan. Why bet on just one treasonous possibility when you could pursue dozens? That way, most could entirely or almost entirely fail, and you could still get what you want!
