iirc there’s actually a list somewhere of what the armies of Armageddon are meant to be like and its a few hundred thousand horseman and a few kaiju sized demons more or less. They’d definitely do some damage but modern militaries would shred them in pretty short order.

3·3 days agoikr? Like given infinite money I’d actually really enjoy seeing how much solar I can distribute and running design contests for the most effective housing that still provides access to green space (and then building it). I bet with some help I could design some really awesome parks.

2·3 days agoIdk I think Malfoy gets it rough, kid was basically raised in and surrounded by a cult 24/7 with the threat of being ostracized by his family, friends and basically everyone he’d ever known if he put a foot out of line. The fact that he got any redemption arc at all even if it was late is more than a lot of indoctrinated people manage IRL.

1·17 days agoIt was pretty catastrophic for some people, I had a good PC for it and my experience was middle of the road. Couldn’t get much past the heist before it became unplayable, cars falling from the sky, dying from stepping off a pavement and just losing the ability to turn the camera were all fairly frequent issues. Its a pretty fantastic game nowadays though you can still see the contrast between the care given to the prologue missions and the rest of the game.

81·1 month agoTraditionally during such busts the government starts outright confiscating bank accounts or otherwise enacts some fiscal policy that renders all savings (especially those in cash) completely worthless in a last bid to pass the buck onto the 99%.

High altitude airostat balloons have also been considered as a superior alternative to satellites for some applications due to lower ping and greater resistance to solar activity. Unfortunately it turns out its also harder to make a long lasting high altitude balloon with consistent positioning than it is to launch something into space.
