  • Hey now, I’m doing my part to reclaim libertarian for the anarchists. I’m just saying, a lefty (especially libertarian left) wouldn’t say they’re “not left or right”. Thats my primary point. The messaging smells like rand paul and the black and yellow just feels like a nod to ancaps moreso than “Black and yellow!!! Ancap alert!!!”

  • Few things here: this happened when I was still identifying as a man, and was not questioning my gender. I began questioning and came out long after these things happened to me. I was viewed as a man, treated like a man, and harassed as a man.

I wasn’t “offended”, I was sexually harassed, groped, and made to feel unsafe by multiple women several times. It was t as much of a "proposition"as it is when a woman is violated because they didn’t act like a sex vending machine.

Thirdly, fantasy =/= reality. I struggle to imagine anyone feeling elated by unwelcome, persistent, and violating “propositions” when they’re actually happening to them.

The harassment wasn’t a result of my gender identity, wasn’t a result of my “offense”, and I wasn’t being propositioned. I wasn’t receptive to force, and I couldn’t be overpowered so I was made to feel less than. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you didn’t intend to be callous and victim blame, but that’s what you’re doing. Maybe try to not do that to others in the future

  • Just to be a contrarian and push against this trope, I’m AMAB and have been sexually harassed by several women because I didn’t act like a dick vending machine. Women deal with this far more than men do, and I don’t want to diminish that, but the trope of “men always want to have sex” is also harmful. And the behavioral impositions of being a man/viewed as a man (I’m agender) makes it harder for men to get support or even feel comfortable enough to talk about their victimization to their peers

  • If you’re looking to switch to graphene, you’re limited to the google pixel line, which isn’t a bad thing imo. Older models can be had for cheap, and they have good specs.

I’m on a pixel 6 right now and it’s served me well. I’d recommend buying a 7 and up though, as the 6 is nearing the end of its support (I think graphene will support it for a few more years but I’d double check that before buying one). But a standard pixel 7 can be had for ~$150usd so not a bad call. The pixel 9 and 10 have AI chips in them so if that’s a deal breaker for you, you’re limited to the 7 and 8 (both still good options). And if you do move to graphene it kinda nullifies the whole AI chip thing anyway.

The default media player on pixels are kinda ass, however. They work fine, but the UI is janky. But there are plenty of media player apps available both on the playstore and through alternatives like f-droid. You can also find cracked versions of most “premium” apps pretty easily online. So if you find a media player you like, but it has ads or some other garbage, you should be able to find a cracked version with little hassle.

And completely unrelated to switching phones, if you’re able to add a private DNS into your wifi settings like I can do on my pixel, you can add base.dns.mullvad.net to the private DNS box and it’ll take care of 99% of ads (can’t speak for youtube specifically) on your phone
